Become a Member

Many people walk through our doors feeling that their life is missing something very important. Once through our doors, they discover what it is they are lacking-belonging to a spiritual community.

Joining the community of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis is not difficult. There is no creed you must recite or swear to. But before you commit yourself to our church, we ask that you learn about our principles and purposes through reading, worship services, The New UU Class; and through discussions with members, the Member Services Coordinator and our ministerial program staff.

We receive new members into our congregation 6 times a year at our “Path to Membership” program.  Unless you have been a member of another Unitarian Universalist congregation, attending one of The New UU Classes is required prior to attending Path to Membership.

Membership in our church brings with it expectations and responsibilities.  A community is only as strong as its members and that strength comes from participation, service, gifts of time and money, individual growth, and caring and support of each other.
